ROUND 2 of my personal NADA TO PRADA MISSION 2019, was a challenge!

Yesterday was day 2 of my mission & let me tell you, it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I had A LOT of FABRIC to go through to find THE PERFECT one for my new Burda look cocktail dress.

I had decisions to make like:

Must I create a formal, semi-formal or casual look.

Am I going to keep to the same design or tweak it?

Am I going to make this dress for me or for "Poppie" my mannequin?

Should I go for a netting fabric or a linen type fabric?

PLUS I still have my clients that I cannot forget about as well.

Luckily for you, I have finally chosen my fabric and added a twist to our old pattern & now I am busy stitching it together.

I have chosen a fabric that can be worn to a wedding, a party of even to a networking event.

But before I show you, guess what I have discovered? The price of our chosen Burda pattern 5216, which was R3.29.

You cannot buy any pattern for that price anymore.

Which one?...... The suspense!

I have decided on a fabric that is soft & comfortable. It is a stretch, is very pretty & you will be able to wear this dress to your business meetings, to a fancy party or even your friends wedding. I have not stuck to the original design & have tweaked the design, just a little bit, here & there. I have combined parts of our BURDA 5216 with my new constructed pattern pieces to get the perfect image that I'm imagining. Now all I have to do is MAKE MY DREAM DRESS COME TRUE by sewing it together.

So far the amount of cash I have had to spend to date is R0.00.
