EMPIRE silhouette brides are beauties built for comfort.

Updated: Sep 11, 2019

“Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.”

In a time where your magical moment starts with him asking “will you marry me?” You eagerly reply “Yes, I will!” Warm tears of joy slowly flow down your cheeks as he gently kisses them away…

Yet, you will discover that it is not so easy to plan your wedding searching for the right venue, choosing your favorite decor, the music, the list goes on. In my opinion, one of the most important items that is normally left last, should actually be considered first, is your wedding dress. It is a personal choice of your own style & what looks good on you.

After designing & making wedding dresses for many clients, I realized that one of the reasons a bride leaves her wedding dress choice for last is because she is not comfortable with her body shape. She isn't sure of her defining style & after her many dress fittings, she is now a tad bit confused as to what she should wear on her special day.

As your personal stylist & designer, I am going to give you some tips on what style wedding dress will suit your body shape.

The correct silhouette choice is what defines the bride from the rest of her guests. During this season I will be introducing the 6 defining bridal gown styles & how these dresses compliment certain body shapes.

Today I will share with you the flattering & feminine EMPIRE wedding dress....

The empire dress is defined by the raised waistline which sits just below the bust from which the rest of the dress flows down to the hem. Gently flowing over the hips and tummy area, this silhouette is perfect for pear-shaped brides. This style is also perfect for brides with a smaller bust since it draws attention to the neckline and creates definition. By adding capped sleeves or delicate bead work, will help to draw attention to your chest and neckline, and therefore create the illusion of a fuller bust. Yet, another amazing feature of the empire style dress is that it accommodates for the larger, bustier brides as well by adding the traditional square neckline onto the dress.

Now ladies, because we are not perfect & many have a beautiful flaws to hide, this empire silhouette is perfect for covering other unwanted body features such as a long torso, short legs, stretch marks & even that sultry

little belly, leaving these areas undefined. Plus I have not forgotten about our blooming, pregnant brides. This dress style is perfect for pregnant brides to accommodate our brides growing belly.

Every bride deserves to not only feel special, she deserves to be beautiful as she walks down that isle on her wedding day in designer wedding dress.

You can use this tip when shopping for other dresses & remember that FASHION is what you buy, STYLE is what you do with it.

I am going to leave you with this hard core, truth statement;

IT IS YOUR BIRTHRIGHT TO BE BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE YOU ARE A WOMAN.
